Lauren Carney: MC Mart

Although she is currently based in Tokyo, Lauren is an Australian artist who enjoys working with colour and cutesy details. Lauren has come back to Melbourne and created an eye-catching art installation focusing on the importance of small businesses.

Explore this exclusive installation, filled with its vibrant colours and adorable decals. The installation takes on the look of a mini mart but with much more personality. Not only that, the installation pieces are subtly dedicated to the city of Melbourne and Lauren has left messages hidden throughout the installation for only the keenest eyes to spot. Take a stroll through the MC Mart and see how many you can spot.

Moomba

Everyone’s favourite family fun festival is rolling back into town this March. Get yourself down to the banks of the Yarra River and enjoy the festival for free! This festival has all the attractions of your favourite carnivals like rides, and food trucks but it also features so much more. Dance workshops, water sport and skate comps, parades and our personal favourite, nightly fireworks will also be taking place.

An American in Paris

Set in the city of love, this four-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical shows the story of a young romance. Follow the tale of an American Soldier and the gorgeous French girl he meets while in Paris. Directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, he takes the audience on a journey through Paris, guided by a sublime score, spirited dance and captivating stage design.

See this love story unfold on stage and understand why the Wall Street Journal labelled this musical a masterpiece. The Australian Ballet and GWB Entertainment have done so well collaborating on this work. This is one not to be missed!
