Melbourne Fringe Festival 3 - 22nd October

The Melbourne Fringe Festival has over 450 events on offer this year in various locations all across the city. Independent artists bring you their best and most eye-catching work. Go on an artistic adventure through the streets of Melbourne and enjoy comedy acts, dance acts like cabaret, drag, music and much more. Expand your mind and experience new things this year at Fringe.

Pierre Bonnard: Designed by India Madhavi until 8th October

Celebrated for his use of colour and his talent for conveying emotion, painter Pierre Bonnard is a 20th-century favourite. Located at the National Art Gallery of Victoria, this exhibition is a part of the larger Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition. India Madhavi brings Pierre’s paintings to life with immersive scenography. Over 100 works will be on display bringing France to life right here in Melbourne. 

Partnered with Musee d’Orsay, Paris, the exhibition features artworks on loan from collections in France as well as the NGV’s own artistic holdings. If you are a lover of all things French this exhibition is not one to miss. Prices from $11-$33

BBC Earth Experience 27th Oct - 28th Jan

Come be a part of an exclusive Melbourne exhibition in which you can delve into the natural world and across the 7 continents guided by Sir David Attenborough. Through his narration and audio-visual technology, allow yourself to be immersed in the natural world via the footage from BBC Studios Seven Worlds. 

You can look forward to seeing all kinds of worldly wonders like fireflies in North America, cassowaries protecting their babies, and more beautiful animals and nature scenes.

Nocturnal: Museum After Dark until 9 November

Experience some after-dark fun like never before at the Melbourne Museum! Nocturnal occurs on the second Thursday night of each month and you can bring some friends along. Explore some of the museum’s most interesting exhibits and take part in tours, talks and tours throughout the night. Cocktails and food stalls will be plentiful! Experience the museum after dark and enjoy every minute of learning, chatting and exploration that comes with it.
