See for yourself the Magnifique 17.5-meter tree that ignites the spirit of Christmas in Federation Square this year. Be amazed by the tree itself and the glittering lights and sounds accompanying the festive decorations. You can look forward to walking by shops, indulging in festive foods, or taking everything in from a rooftop bar above.
With the support of Federation Square, the City of Melbourne is proud to be lighting up the event with 100% wind power. You can enjoy the event from 10 am to 12:30 am, so no matter your schedule or lifestyle, you can still enjoy a sprinkle of Christmas cheer.
Miss Saigon until 16th December

The Music of Hans Zimmer 14th December - 16th December
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and conductor Nicholas Buc pay a beautiful tribute to Hans Zimmer, one of our time’s most significant film composers.
He has received accolades for his composition of tracks for Interstellar, the Lion King, Kung Fu Panda, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Feel his compositions come to life as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra takes you on a musical journey. If you love orchestral, we highly recommend you don’t miss this.

The Big Design Market 1st December - 3rd December
Back for another year, The Big Design Market is grander than ever. This highly anticipated display of design and high-end craftsmanship will immerse you in the festive spirit. You can explore over 250 designers with goods ranging from ethical fashion, handmade ceramics, prints, homewares, gorgeous jewellery, and much more.
You can also walk away with show bags, cocktails and craft beer, delicious food, and even better goodies. Taking place in the Royal Exhibition Building, put this one into your calendar as it would be a shame to miss!
