JXSH MVIR: Forever I Live Until 14 July Free Event
JXSH MVIR: Forever I Live has been co-curated by Josh's partner, Shanaya Sheridan, along with his mother, Justine Berg. It is a solo retrospective exhibition in honour of his passing.
Josh had a short but impactful career in which he produced art in varying mediums. He created physical paintings as well as digital artworks, which can be easily identified due to his unique approach to contemporary iconography.
Josh's works are fascinating to behold and uphold the tradition of storytelling, which is interlinked with his cultural identity as a Gunditjmara, Yorta Yorta, and Barkindji man. Using digital methods alongside street art and pop aesthetics, his works surround the themes of colonisation, mental health, loss, grief, addiction, and the cultural impacts of them all.
Come and see what will be both a beautiful exploration of Josh's work and a tribute to his community impact.
