Hairspray the Musical

From the 7th of August, witness the Broadway original Hairspray! This musical hit is a multi-award winner and a heart warmer for sure.

Hairspray follows the story of Tracy Turnblad, a big hearted and even bigger haired aspiring dancer. Her dream is to dance on The Corny Collins Show, and when this dream comes to fruition Tracy builds some unexpected friendships.

In her debut role Carmel Rodrigues gives it her all in the role of Tracy Turnblad, her performance is a wonder to behold! Her vocals are strong and the feel-good songs in Hairspray are sure to be stuck in your head and have you tapping your feet while in your seats.

Tickets are available from $79 - $160, Hairspray is not one to miss so if you can be sure to head to the Theatre and enjoy.

Imaginaria

This interactive display of lights, sounds and scents respond to your movements as you you’re your way throughout the display. Enjoy wandering through a dreamlike expanse of interesting architectural structures and experience what they have to offer, there is all kinds of interactive elements you can look forward to while in Imaginaria.

Visitors will find themselves weaving their way through a light maze and walking inside a giant inflatable bubble, along with other activities. The installation is great for families with kids or for those who are in the mood for a bit of fun!

This exhibition looks like a one of a kind event, so if you can find the time we recommend stopping in.

The Picasso Century

This wonderful exhibition has been developed for the NGV by the Musee national Picasso-Paris and the Centre Pompidou. Featuring over 70 of Pablo Picasso’s works, this exhibition showcases his career as an artist. The exhibition also features the works of other prominent 20th century artists whom Picasso interacted with, some of those being Henri Matisse and Salvador Dali. Art lovers this one is for you!

The works in this installation are rarely on exhibition in Australia, so if you have the time and opportunity to make your way to the NGV you will not leave disappointed.

Adult pricing is $30, Student is $28 and children are $10.
